JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior HR Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with all relevant regulations, laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance on compliance matters, manage investigations, and promote a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all business functions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote legal compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance effectiveness.
  • Lead and conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances, misconduct, and compliance violations, ensuring confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Document findings and prepare reports, making recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and external agencies as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of compliance by promoting awareness and understanding of relevant policies and regulations among employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, investigations, and outcomes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on compliance matters.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation to continuously enhance the company’s compliance program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in HR compliance, investigations, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
