Job description

RUDIS is seeking an onsite Studio Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day studio output and manage production processes. This individual will also be responsible for sample coordination and supplemental support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day studio photography output quality and production volumes

  • Coordinate communication between Operations, Photography, Video Dept. and Retouching teams to
    maintain operational efficiency and seamless movement of physical product and digital assets

  • Develop and manage production processes in the studio for each functional area, partnering with Producers, Video and Photography teams as appropriate

  • Create long and short-term plans, including setting schedules, targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

  • Partner with the web and marketing teams to create and manage shot and asset lists to ensure on-time delivery of accurate product images and videos

  • Ensure Merchandise stock is aligned, and product shoots are optimized by prioritizing category shoots and requesting all needed assets from the beginning

  • Partner with purchasing managers (Domestic and Foreign) to support upcoming product photography shoots by ensuring all samples are sent and shot by target shoot dates

  • Assign Photographers to upcoming photo shoots

  • Assist with post-production organization, initial feedback, and revision management between creative and photo teams.

  • Ensure projects are trafficked through Clickup (Project Management System)

  • Weekly communication of project status to encourage collaboration ensures any shifts in programming are addressed and projects are adjusted & communicated accordingly

Administrative Duties:

  • Monitor, notify, and solve potential resource bottlenecks and assign resources as directed by manager and producers

  • Production budgeting, project planning, and kicking off post production assets

  • Negotiate rates and bookings with production agencies, stylists, photographers, assistants, talent, locations, models, and caterers

  • Update daily schedule to track internal staff project schedules, and provide call sheets

  • Send, update, and organize all photography for copyright

  • Verify that all freelance staff and vendors have a current fully executed contract and maintain a list of all current contractors

  • Ensure accuracy, maintain and file accordingly all departmental files, including General Release Forms

Sample Coordination:

  • Help track and maintain product samples within Photo Studio, overseeing the flow of samples in and out

  • Push prepped products that are ready for photography down to the studio sets and prepare samples for photoshoot

  • Run office on-hand inventory reports at the end of each month and manage bulk Inventory Return from our photo studio at least twice a month

  • Move samples to the company retail store once samples are finished being used for photoshoots

  • Coordinate merchandise between Studios, Warehouses, Styling and Buying Offices, and process RTDC’s (Return to Distribution Center)

As Needed Supplemental Support:

  • Assist with on-site and location video/photo shoots as needed
  • Assist with other duties and projects as requested
  • May need to work nights/or weekends on occasion
