Markku Mikkola

Markku Mikkola has a strong background in finance and has held various roles throughout their career. Markku started their career as a Back office trainee & internal auditor at Lammin Osuuspankki in 2001 and worked there until 2005. Markku then joined the Financial Supervision Authority as a Financial analyst trainee from 2006 to 2007. Markku also served as a Member of the Financial Board at the Student Union of Turku School of Economics from 2006 to 2008. Markku then joined KPMG Audit as a Senior Associate in 2007, where they mainly worked with clients in the banking, finance, and consumer industries. Markku worked at KPMG Audit until 2010. In 2010, they joined Nokia as a Business Controller and later became a Senior Business Controller, responsible for business controlling in the Mechanics Solutions Sourcing department. In 2012, Markku moved to KONE Corporation, where they took on roles as a Business Controller, Finance Manager, and eventually Finance Director. Markku worked at KONE Corporation until 2018 when they joined Mehiläinen as a Finance Director. Currently, Markku is the CFO (Finance Director) at Rudus Oy, starting in 2023.

Markku Mikkola's education history includes multiple degrees and fields of study. Markku started their education in 1999 at the University of Tampere, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Public Accounting and Auditing. Markku completed this program in 2005. In 2003, Markku participated in an Erasmus exchange program and studied International Business and Finance at Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave for a year. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Accounting in 2008. Recently, in 2019 and 2020, they pursued Executive Education in Organizational Leadership at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development.
