Mike Kornbau

Mike Kornbau is a seasoned finance and compliance professional with extensive experience in the retail industry. Currently serving as the Director of Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit at rue21, Inc. since September 2008, Mike has played a pivotal role in risk management and operational efficiency within the company. Prior to this, Mike held various leadership positions at American Eagle Outfitters, including Director of Finance, where responsibilities encompassed financial planning, compliance, and operational audits. With a background that also includes roles at Kaufmann's, Individual Financial Services, and Hill's Department Stores, Mike has developed a strong expertise in financial strategy, risk assessment, and operational management. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Production/Operations Management and Finance from Grove City College.
