Sebastian Kruss is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Professor at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and a Group Leader in Biomedical Nanosensors at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since April 2020. Previously, Sebastian held the position of Principal Investigator at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen from January 2015 to September 2020 and completed a Postdoc at MIT from July 2012 to December 2014, specializing in nanoscience, carbon nanomaterials, sensors, surface chemistry, biophysics, biomaterials, and neuroscience. Sebastian earned a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems/Heidelberg University and a Diplom in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, after which Sebastian pursued a PhD at the Max Planck Institute from 2008 to 2011.
