Amy Nygaard

Amy Nygaard currently serves as Medical Director at Rula since December 2022. Prior to this role, Amy held various positions at HealthPartners from August 2008 to January 2023, including Department Chair and Medical Director for Ambulatory Behavioral Health, as well as Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. Previous experience includes a role as Psychiatrist at The Emily Program from May 2014 to February 2015. Amy's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School (2001-2003), Adult Psychiatry Residency (2003-2006), and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2006-2008), complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness and Spanish from the University of Minnesota (1995-1999) and Medicine studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth (1999-2001).
