Kathryn Nelson

Property Accountant at RUME USA

Joining RUME in 2020, Kathryn Nelson is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions required to produce detailed reviews and to prepare monthly and year-end financial statements. Kathryn also provides support to staff regarding accounting-related matters.

As the company’s property accountant, she brings a disciplined and analytic approach to complex issues, methodically reducing difficult problems to their simplest components in order to conduct detailed investigations and develop successful solutions. In her previous work with Advocate Property Management, she served in dual positions as Senior Community Association Property Manager and Supervisor of Accounts Payable & Financial Reporting before transitioning to Property Accountant and Office Manager.

Kathryn earned an associate’s degree in accounting in 2007 and a bachelor’s of business administration in 2009. She is a Licensed Community Association Manager (IL Department of Professional and Financial Regulation) and a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA).
