Sarah Francis has extensive work experience spanning several industries. Sarah began their career as the Marketing & Promotions Manager at Calgary Sun in 1995 and later joined Calgary Herald as a Sales Manager. Sarah then worked as a Marketing and Communications Consultant at Pure Energy Services before becoming the VP Marketing & Operations at Vintage Group. In 2011, Sarah joined ATCO Gas as a Director and later moved to ATCO Group as the Senior Director of Marketing & Customer Engagement. Sarah then transitioned to ATCOenergy, where they held roles as Senior Director of Customer Engagement, General Manager, and Vice President & General Manager. Sarah also served in various positions at Calgary Winter Club, including Vice President, President, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the Board of Directors. Recently, they became the Vice President of Rümi, a branch under the ATCO family that focuses on consumer-facing brands.

Sarah Francis has a diverse education history. Sarah completed their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary from 1988 to 1992. Following that, they pursued a Diploma in Public Relations from Mount Royal University, which they obtained between 1992 and 1994. In 2002, Sarah enrolled in the MBA program at Royal Roads University, specializing in Leadership, and completed it in 2004. Lastly, in 2014, they attended the Ivey Business School at Western University for an Executive Development Program.
