Data Scientist & Ai/ml Developer Advocate at Run:AI

Ekin Karabulut has been working in the tech industry since 2018. In that year, they began their career as a Control Systems Engineer | Working Student at Automation W+R GmbH. They also held an Intern role at Siemens, where they gained a deep understanding of the SINUMERIK CNC automation systems (828D, 840Dsl) and worked on S7-1200 PLC product by using TIA Portal. In 2021, they took on the role of Data Scientist | Working Student at NetApp, where they were responsible for creating NetApp DataOps Toolkit Demo Environment and NetApp AI Control Plane with K8s based DataOps Toolkit. They also created AI use cases, detailed documentation, and demos for the lab. In 2020, they became a Board Member, Board Member & Co-Lead of Growth Team, Board Member & Mentor of the Makeathon Department, and Team Lead - Makeathon Department at TUM.ai. In this role, they organized one of the largest Makeathons in Munich with more than 350 applicants from all over the world and planned and organized team objectives (OKRs) and priorities. Lastly, in 2022, they became a Community Member at 2hearts and an AI/ML Developer Advocate at Run:ai.

Ekin Karabulut obtained their Abitur from Deutsche Schule Istanbul / Alman Lisesi in 2016. Ekin then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Technical University of Munich, which they completed in 2019. In 2022, they will complete their Master of Science in Robotics, Cognition, and Intelligence from the same university. Ekin has also obtained certifications from Coursera in Foundation of Project Management and AI for Medical Diagnosis, and a Siemens Simatic S7-1200 PLCs-TIA Portal MICRO1 certification from Siemens.
