Josh Ray

Josh Ray has worked in various roles in the finance and accounting industry since 2012. Josh began their career at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. as an Accounting Generalist/Accounts Receivable and Income Auditor. In 2016, they moved to CFE Management LLC as a Financial Analyst. In 2018, they joined Newlife Forest Products as Manager of Finance and Administration, where they managed Accounting, Finance, Payroll, HR, IT, FP&A and Data Analytics functions, assisted with raising capital, managed cash balance, 13-week cashflow forecast and weekly funding requests from VC, and partnered with business unit leaders to determine KPI’s and create a reporting process to communicate results to execs. Josh also implemented a cloud hosted, a-synchronous input database system, learned the ins and outs of the industry, maintained an operating model, reported KPI’s and financial standing to Venture Capital partner leadership, created GL analysis tool, created dashboards for internal reporting, managed regulatory reporting to the USFS, streamlined data collection from varied sources, and assisted with planning process to build 2 new mills. In 2021, they moved to Ygrene Energy Fund as a Sr Manager, FP&A. Josh is currently employed at RunBuggy as Director of FP&A.

Josh Ray attended Skyline High School from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their high school diploma. Josh then attended the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University from 2012 to 2016, graduating with a B.S. in Management with a focus in Business Administration and Management. In May 2021, Josh obtained two certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute\u00ae (CFI): Accounting Fundamentals Certificate and Financial Analysis Fundamentals.
