Cathleen Hartge has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Jose. In 2012, they were a Summer Associate at Williams & Connolly LLP. Cathleen then pursued their J.D. degree at Stanford Law School from 2010 to 2013.

After completing their education, they joined the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as a Law Clerk in 2013. From 2014 to 2018, Cathleen worked as an Attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, representing clients in high-stakes litigation cases.

In 2018, they became the Head of Legal at Branch, where they led a team of eight attorneys, managing a large budget. Cathleen played a crucial role in the company's growth, advising the CEO, Board, and Executive Team on strategic legal matters. Additionally, they handled key transactions, privacy compliance programs, and negotiated partnership deals.

Cathleen was also involved in various organizations, such as being a Founding Member at TechGC and serving on the boards of the Bay Area Disc Association and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.

Currently, they hold the position of General Counsel at Runway, a company focused on using machine learning in video editing.
