Derek Wheeler

Derek Wheeler has over 20 years of work experience. Derek currently works at RCIS: Rural Community Insurance Services as a Business Development Representative / Asst Vice President. Prior to that, they worked at USI Insurance Services as a Risk Management Consultant, Commercial, and at Willis Towers Watson as a Senior Client Associate. Derek's earlier experience includes working at Sentry Insurance as a Territory Manager specializing in Employee Benefits, 401K, and Life Insurance, at TW Metals as an Inside Territory Representative selling tubing and piping to large corporations, and at Wells Fargo Financial as an Account Manager.

Derek Wheeler has a Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing degree from The University of Georgia, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned an Associate Degree of Business Administration in Marketing from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Derek has obtained several certifications, including "Controlling the Sale" and "Productive Leadership" from LinkedIn in May 2022, and "A Navy SEAL's Surprising Key to Building Unstoppable Teams: Caring" from LinkedIn in July 2021.
