Louise is a technology specialist with over 20 years' experience in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. She advises technology consumers and suppliers on technology-related contracts, projects and regulatory compliance issues in a wide range of sectors including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, media and broadcasting, education and fashion.

Louise has advised on many business transformation programmes and other business critical technology projects involving the supply of core solutions, infrastructure and services. Her project and contract expertise also includes advising on complex, large-scale outsourcing contracts; technology development and exploitation; system supply and integration agreements; hosting, support and maintenance arrangements; and SaaS agreements. She also advises on technology-related and digital compliance issues, including those relating to the introduction of new technology solutions and services in New Zealand.

Louise has a particular interest in new and emerging technologies, and has written and spoken widely in both the UK and in New Zealand on artificial intelligence, the internet of things, big data, cloud/fog computing, quantum computing, drones, and other technology trends. She also co-authored the New Zealand technology chapter in the The Legal 500: TMT Country Comparative Guide 2021.

She is Deputy Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Forum of New Zealand and has been an elected member of its Executive Council since 2018.

Louise was named as one of NZ Lawyer's Most Influential Lawyer's 2021 in the Changemaker category and is listed in in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a Rising Star – Technology, Media & Telecommunications, 2020.
