Cem Turan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cem currently works at Russell Reynolds Associates as the Global Lead for Commercial Strategy & Operations in the Financial Services sector since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Oliver Wyman as a Banking Sector Expert and Team Manager from March 2017 to May 2022. Cem also gained valuable experience at Deloitte, where they held multiple roles including Banking Insight Analyst and Team Manager from January 2015 to February 2017, Manager from September 2013 to December 2014, Assistant Manager from September 2011 to August 2013, and Consultant from November 2009 to August 2011. Cem worked as a freelance consultant at The Riverside Company from August 2009 to October 2009 and as a Consultant Graduate Student at the University of Pittsburgh - Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence from September 2007 to April 2009. Additionally, Cem had an internship experience at PwC as a Consultant in Advisory Services in June 2008.

Cem Turan pursued their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2006 at Penn State University, where they earned a B.S. degree in Business and Economics. After completing their undergraduate education, Cem Turan decided to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of finance. Hence, from 2007 to 2009, they enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business for an MBA degree, specializing in Finance.
