Russell Square (RS) is a multi-state developer and licensed general contractor with employees currently based in five states in the western half of the United States. We specialize in multifamily development and are responsible for all phases of the real estate development process from site selection to lease-up. Our current pipeline consists of 2300+ apartments slated to begin construction over the coming 14 months in various states.

Project Engineer Assists the Project Manager in ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and on schedule. Additionally, this role assists in the efficient and timely execution of all preconstruction requirements that will improve the overall success of the construction project. The Project Engineer is the middleman between the Project Manager, Design Team, and Owner and in charge of document control for the project. This goes from the plans and specifications to permits and project O & M manuals once the project is complete.

Role and Responsibilities -Maintain control of all project documentation. -Coordinates and maintains preconstruction and closeout documentation for the project. -Maintain and distribute project plans. -Maintain/update project records. -Assist the Project Manager in creating and organizing preconstruction documentation for projects. -Understand Project plans and Specifications. -Study Job Specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. -Assist Project Manager in plan review to determine constructability improvements through various development cycles. -Assist Project Manager/Owner in getting building permits and other required permits for the project. -Assist Project Manger with development cost estimates. -Understands appropriate building codes/ regulations. -Conducts and documents weekly project owner’s meetings/decisions related to development. -Creates and distributes meeting minutes. -Assist the project team with documenting job progress and schedule for preconstruction. -Creating and distributing project closeout material, O and M manuals to owner once project is complete. -Assist the project team with closeout of the project. -Assist Project Manager with assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements -Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field. -Relevant work experience -Proficiency in plan reading -Excellent organizational skills -Familiarity with common Construction software programs (i.e., Procore, BlueBeam, etc.) -Intermediate to advanced level capability with MS Office applications
