Lauretta Martin

Lauretta Martin's work experience includes their role as a Cohort 12 Member in the Rutgers Road to Wall Street Program starting in 2022. Lauretta also served as an Editor in Chief at Rutgers Consulting Group (RCG) where they ensured timely submissions and editing of articles and facilitated effective meetings. Additionally, they were an Insights Newsletter Writer at RCG, responsible for writing articles on current economic events and creating reports on the equity market. Lauretta also worked as a Consulting Analyst and provided technical support as a Digital Classroom Services Support Specialist at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Lauretta served as a Research Assistant at the Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates. Lauretta gained experience in business development as a Business Development Intern at Crestron Electronics, where they analyzed growth metrics and conducted data analysis. Lauretta participated in the ibRecruit intensive training program and was a Selected Intensive Training Participant, focusing on investment banking roles and creating a mentorship platform for women in finance. Lauretta also took part in the Virtual Insight Series at Goldman Sachs. Lauretta served as the Fundraising Chair of the Finance Committee at the Rutgers University Supply Chain Association. Additionally, they worked as a Commercial Real Estate Analyst Intern at Project Destined and as an Academic Tutor at GoPeer.

Lauretta Martin started their education journey in 2017 and completed their high school studies in 2021 at Northern Valley Regional High School At Demarest, earning a High School Diploma. After that, they enrolled at Rutgers University in 2021 to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Their major areas of focus include Computer Science, Economics, and they also obtained a Data Science Certificate.

In addition to their formal education, Lauretta has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Lauretta completed the "Algorithmic Trading and Finance Models with Python, R, and Stata Essential Training" from LinkedIn in June 2022. Lauretta also obtained a certification in Microsoft Excel from Wall Street Prep in the same month and year. Lauretta further enhanced their expertise by completing the "SQL Essential Training" from LinkedIn.

Lauretta has engaged in several virtual internships and programs to gain practical experience. Lauretta completed the "Accenture Discovery Program" by Forage in November 2021, followed by the "Data Science Tools" program by IBM. Lauretta also participated in the "KPMG Data Analytics Consulting Virtual Internship" offered by Forage. Moreover, Lauretta completed the "Using Power BI with Excel" course from LinkedIn and the "Bloomberg Market Concepts" program from Bloomberg LP, both in October 2021. Lauretta further deepened their knowledge by completing the "Data Analytics: Dashboards vs. Data Stories" course and the "Excel Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365)" on LinkedIn in the same month and year.

Continuing their learning journey, Lauretta obtained the "Social / Behavioral / Epidemiologic Research Investigators" certification from the CITI Program in September 2022.
