Stacey L. Kohler

Assistant Director, Career Communities and Industry Programs at Rutgers University

Stacey currently serves as the Assistant Director for Career Communities and Industry Programs, where she is the liaison for the doctoral student career interest community. She manages campus partner advisory boards, connects students with exploration and networking opportunities through alumni mentorship and engagement, and provides tailored programming and advising services.

She has dedicated the past 15 years of her career to counseling, advising, and program planning, management and evaluation in both higher education and K-12 settings. In her prior role as the Road to Industry Program Director, Stacey was able to provide undergraduates with opportunities for career exploration and 1:1 mentoring with an alumni mentor. She looks forward to bringing her skills and knowledge from this role into developing workshops, programs and events for doctoral students that will assist them in achieving their career goals.

Stacey has earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counseling from The College of New Jersey. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is certified as a School Counselor, Supervisor, and Director of Guidance by the State of New Jersey Department of Education. Currently, Stacey is an Ed.D. candidate in the Graduate School of Education, where she is working on her dissertation that is focusing on the experiences of female first-generation students navigating doctoral studies.
