Angela Weng

Associate Principal at Rutherford + Chekene

As the co-lead of R+C’s Building Systems Group (BSG), Angela works closely with the high-tech, healthcare, higher ed, and life science clients on their tenant improvements, remodels, and the seismic bracing of their MEP distribution systems. Her clients—be they owners, general contractors, subcontractors or architects—value her emphasis on early coordination across disciplines, which has proven to be a powerful tool in helping to ensure project goals of reducing waste, increasing efficiency, minimizing cost, and expediting schedule are achieved.

Angela’s 20 years of experience spans projects large and small, from radiology room upgrades to complex 1.2M sf high-tech office fit-outs. Her MEP seismic bracing projects include the recently completed UCSF Precision Cancer Medicine Building, Niantic’s offices at the historic San Francisco Ferry Building, and the soon to be finished upgrades to multiple buildings at Oakland International Airport’s Terminal 2. Additionally, Angela has worked on many tenant improvement projects including offices for Nektar Therapeutics, fit-outs for a confidential new biotechnology campus, and multiple projects for Kaiser, Stanford Health, and other respected healthcare providers.
