Francisco Parisi

Associate Principal at Rutherford + Chekene

Inspired by the complexity of his clients’ greatest challenges, Francisco strives to provide unique engineering solutions to support their mission. A natural collaborator and good listener, Francisco is widely recognized for designing award-winning science and technology, healthcare and higher education facilities and for his knowledge of base isolation implementation and energy dissipation systems in new buildings. In the pursuit of advancing the overall patient experience, Francisco has managed several of R+C’s healthcare projects including acute care, OSHPD 1 facilities. He recently served as project manager on the new UCSF Precision Cancer Medicine Building, which supports integrated research and clinical teams as they work to revolutionize cancer care. He was an instrumental member of structural team on the historic Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University and currently serves as project manager for new science and research facilities at NASA and CSU Chico.

Francisco strongly believes in cross-collaboration between the different design disciplines to provide creative practical solutions that will improve constructability aspects of the project, while achieving cost efficiencies in the process. He also advocates listening to clients to understand their needs and expectations, providing them with the best product through consistent performance and reliability. Contributing to R+C’s culture of research and development, Francisco has co-authored technical documents regarding testing protocol for wood frame structures and application of base isolation systems in buildings.
