Shane Cox

Shane Cox is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product and engineering management, having served as the Head of Product and Engineering at Rux Energy since September 2023. With a strong background in technical advisory roles at Membrane Works since November 2016, Shane also held leadership positions at Scimita Ventures as Head of Operations and Research Engineering & Design Lead from August 2019 to February 2023. Prior experience includes founding and leading Instrument Works as CEO from July 2012 to August 2019, and contributing as an eResearch Specialist at UNSW Australia in 2014. Shane has also engaged with the startup community as a Fellow at the Startup Leadership Program and has a substantial academic background as a Senior Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of New South Wales. Shane earned a PhD and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from UNSW, completing the doctorate in 2007.
