Senior Research Associate Scientist at RVAC Medicines

Benjamin Wong has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Benjamin began their career as an Assistant Laboratory Officer at the Genome Institute of Singapore, where they conducted qPCR and DNA size estimate assays. Benjamin then worked as a Laboratory Technologist at Brady Corporation, assisting in the successful launch of a large-scale project. At the National University of Singapore, Benjamin worked as a Research Assistant in the Protein Science Lab, focusing on the regulation of salivary proteins in dengue virus transmission. Benjamin later joined Duke-NUS Medical School as a Research Assistant in the MGB lab, studying the biting behavior of Aedes aegypti after dengue infection. Most recently, Benjamin worked at Theonys Pte Ltd as a Scientist, where they set up the lab space, planned experiments, and managed cell culture for cancer cell lines. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Research Associate Scientist at RVAC Medicines.

Benjamin Wong began their educational journey at Chua Chu Kang Secondary School from 2001 to 2004, where they completed their O levels. Benjamin then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bradford from 2011 to 2013. Later on, Benjamin furthered their studies at the National University of Singapore from 2018 to 2020, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, with a focus on the general field of study.
