Jamie Romero

Jamie Romero has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. They are currently working as a Product Development Manager for Women's at RVCA since February 2021. Prior to this, Jamie owned and operated a fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) Amazon storefront called Acme Project, where they developed their own branded products and managed the entire process from design to packaging. From October 2020 to February 2021, Jamie worked as a Freelance Technical Designer at East West Shop, where they created technical packs and evaluated knitwear products.

Before their freelance roles, Jamie had extensive experience at Obey, where they held the positions of Lead Technical Developer and Senior Technical Developer from February 2009 to March 2020. In this role, they oversaw the women's Technical team, collaborated with cross-functional teams, and played a key role in strategic sourcing planning based on vendor capabilities.

Earlier in their career, Jamie worked at Chip and Pepper as an Associate Designer, focusing on cut & sew design, and as an Assistant Designer for denim from August 2005 to June 2008. They were responsible for designing and developing the company's men's and women's woven top and jacket lines.

Jamie's work experience started at The Hollywood Company as a Design Assistant and Freelance Illustrator from September 2003 to August 2005. They collaborated on product selection, built relationships with vendors, and edited show copy.

Jamie Romero obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UCLA, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Later, Jamie pursued further education at FIDM, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from 2002 to 2003.
