Maaike Westland has a diverse work experience. In 2011, they worked as an HR Advisor for PostNL Autobedrijf and was responsible for providing HR guidance and support to the management team. From 2013 to 2014, they held various HR roles including HR Business Partner at Swisslog, HR Advisor at Van Dijk Educatie, HR Business Partner at GVB, HR Project Manager at Multi Corporation, and HR Advisor at Loyens & Loeff. Maaike then joined Rvdb in 2013, where they served as an HR Interim Professional, Talent Manager, Recruitment Manager for young professionals, Manager of interim talents, and People Progress & Project Lead. Maaike took a sabbatical in 2022 and later joined Flux Partners as an Acting Manager of People & Culture. In 2023, they returned to Rvdb as a Business Lead & Talent Manager. Throughout their career, Maaike has been involved in various HR projects, including developing strategies, creating programs for employee well-being, and implementing change management initiatives.

Maaike Westland obtained a Bachelor's degree in Personeel & Arbeid from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) in 2007. Following that, they pursued a PreMaster degree in Government and Research at Utrecht University from 2007 to 2008. Maaike then went on to earn a Master's degree in Strategisch Human Resource Management from Utrecht University in 2009.
