Giorgia Amici has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Giorgia began their career as a Junior Developer at Makers Academy, where they gained expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and VanillaJS. Giorgia also developed single-page applications using Angular, Node.js, and Express.
Afterward, Amici worked as a UI Engineer at VoucherCodes.co.uk, where they implemented a homepage redesign and introduced the team to Jasmine testing. Giorgia focused on improving performance, responsiveness, and comprehensive testing to enhance the user experience.
Amici then joined Wandera as a Javascript Engineer, where they worked on a single-page application for web threat detection visualizations. Giorgia also developed API functionality in PHP and Java and improved unit and integration testing suites. Amici utilized analytics to enhance user experience flow based on generated data.
At TruRating, Amici served as the Lead Frontend Developer. Giorgia led a React/Redux Progressive Web App, enabling customers to easily visualize complex data. Amici managed the frontend team, collaborated with the design and product teams, and maintained effective communication with the data and backend teams. Giorgia also oversaw the delivery of projects by outsourced team members and ensured code quality standards were met.
Currently, Amici holds the position of Lead Software Engineer at RVU. As the Lead Software Engineer, they are responsible for leading the development of software solutions. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at RVU-Uswitch, Money, and Bankrate.
Giorgia Amici obtained a Master of Science degree in GIS and Statistical Analysis from UCL, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, they also completed a programming course in Python at City Lit. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Ancient/Classical Greek Language and Literature from Università degli Studi di Perugia, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
