Michelle Umurungi

Michelle Umurungi is a seasoned professional in investment and business development, currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB) since November 2024. Previously, Michelle held the roles of Deputy Managing Director and Business Development & Partnerships Manager at Norrsken from March 2022 to November 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Strategy & Policy Analyst at Rwanda Finance Ltd. and a Project Business Analyst at PACCAR. Michelle also gained experience as an Associate Program Officer at Ashesi University Foundation and as a Seller Support Specialist at Amazon. An internship at the Oklahoma State Treasurer's office and an Analyst Intern role at MassMutual further contributed to professional development. Michelle earned a Master's degree in International Business from Hult International Business School between 2017 and 2018 and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Oklahoma Christian University from 2012 to 2016.
