Christopher Turyk has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Christopher is currently serving as the Managing Director, Company at Royal Winnipeg Ballet since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre as a Development Manager from July 2019 to June 2022. Additionally, Christopher held multiple roles at Royal Winnipeg Ballet, including Director of Company Artistic Operations from December 2013 to July 2019, Director of Touring & Business Development from December 2011 to December 2013, and Company Manager from July 2008 to November 2011. Before joining Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Christopher had experience in the Winnipeg Film Industry from June 2005 to June 2008.
Christopher Turyk obtained a Diploma in Project Management from UWinnipeg PACE, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Certificate in Arts & Cultural Management from UWinnipeg PACE, completing the program in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Christopher has also obtained certifications in Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta and The Cycle: Management of Successful Arts & Cultural Organizations from the University of Maryland in 2021.
