Nataraj Dasgupta

Nataraj Dasgupta has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nataraj joined RxDataScience Inc. in 2016 as the Vice President of Analytics and was a member of the founding team. RxDataScience specializes in developing machine learning and AI healthcare solutions using large-scale data. In 2021, the company was acquired by Syneos Health.

Prior to their role at RxDataScience, Nataraj worked at Purdue Pharma L.P. from 2013 to 2016. Here, they led the development of a flagship data analytics platform for analyzing Pharma and Life Sciences data at scale. The platform was later commercialized into a new startup, RxDataScience. Nataraj utilized high-performance computing systems to support ultra-low latency analytics across billions of rows of data.

From 2005 to 2013, Nataraj was with UBS Investment Bank. Nataraj held various roles, including Associate Director in FX Trading & Connectivity. In this position, they managed relationships with major hedge funds, providing them with access to the UBS Algorithmic High Frequency FX Trading Platform. Nataraj also served as an Associate Director in Investment Solutions Trading and as a Client Integration Manager in FX Trading IT.

Nataraj began their career at IBM as a Consultant in the year 2000. Nataraj worked on numerous client projects, deploying Java-based web services solutions and integrating them with backend systems. Nataraj was also the technical owner for the IBM Support Site.

Before joining IBM, Nataraj worked as a Consultant at Philip Morris Management Corp from 1999 to 2000. In this role, they served as a Unix Capacity Planning Analyst.

Throughout their career, Nataraj has gained expertise in analytics, data science, high-frequency trading, trade execution, pricing, hedging strategies, and technologies for algo trading. Nataraj has a strong background in developing and implementing solutions using various technologies and has experience across different sectors such as healthcare, finance, and technology.

Nataraj Dasgupta has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. Nataraj obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Analytics from Imperial College London. Prior to that, they earned a BSc degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Bridgeport. Nataraj also completed their A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at Calcutta International School. Additionally, they obtained their Madhyamik degree from South Point High School in Kolkata.

In addition to their formal education, Nataraj has also obtained various certifications. Nataraj completed a course on "Causality: Inferring Causal Effects from Observational Data" at the University of Pennsylvania via Coursera in February 2023. Nataraj also completed a course on "Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" at The Johns Hopkins University via Coursera in September 2021. Other certifications include "Oxford ML 2021" from AI for Global Goals (August 2021), "Economics of Healthcare Delivery" from Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System via Coursera (January 2021), "Healthcare Data Security, Privacy, and Compliance" from Johns Hopkins via Coursera (January 2021), "People Analytics" from the University of Pennsylvania via Coursera (January 2021), and "Introduction to Big Data Analytics" from UCSD via Coursera (January 2015), among others.
