Principal Engineer, Architecture at RxSense

Brandon Schory has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Brandon currently holds the position of Principal Engineer, Architecture Squad at RxSense since December 2021.

Prior to this, Brandon served as the Director of Engineering at EF Go Ahead Tours from January 2020 to November 2021. In this role, they focused on improving engineer happiness and productivity by shaping the company's approach to architecture, engineering processes, and people management. Brandon was involved in various projects, including the design of a new microservices architecture, the development of a comprehensive graphql api, and upgrades to the website structure for improved performance and customer self-service.

Before joining EF Go Ahead Tours, Brandon worked at EF Educational Tours starting in October 2015. Brandon initially served as a Software Developer, where they took ownership of core payment processing systems and successfully migrated services to a dedicated virtualized stack. Brandon later transitioned to the role of Lead Software Developer, where they played a key role in migrating all EF Tours systems to AWS regions, including live customer payment processing and financial systems.

Prior to EF Educational Tours, Brandon worked at Pivot, Inc. - a CME Group Company from June 2009 to September 2014. During their tenure, they held the position of Software Engineer and was involved in the development of various systems pertaining to trade negotiation and clearing, with a focus on instant messaging technology. Brandon also contributed to expanding the communication coverage to include Twitter and was the principal developer of a trade management and clearing web application.

Brandon's early work experience includes a role as a Technical Support Representative at Perseus from July 2006 to December 2006. In this position, they provided support for web survey design and enterprise feedback management products, performed installations and configurations on web servers, and supported database integrations.

Overall, Brandon Schory has showcased their expertise in architectural design, engineering process improvement, and successful migration of systems to improve functionality and performance.

Brandon Schory attended Northeastern University from 2004 to 2009, where they studied Computer Science but did not complete their degree. In 2015, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance.
