Joyce-Marie Garay currently serves as Vice President Legal and Head of Global Litigation at Ryan, having joined the company in November 2017. In this role, Joyce-Marie manages the litigation and dispute resolution team, handling complex commercial litigation and employment-related disputes. Prior to Ryan, Joyce-Marie held various positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with employment-related laws and managing a significant litigation docket. Earlier experience includes serving as an equity partner at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP, where Joyce-Marie developed expertise in wrongful termination, discrimination, and employment tort claims. Joyce-Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law.
