Richard Gardiner

Richard Gardiner currently serves as an Analyst in Strategic Intelligence at S-RM, a role held since January 2022, after previously interning in the same field. Concurrently, Richard has maintained a blog focused on African current affairs and regional security themes through The South Story since May 2020. Prior experience includes a research-based internship at COVINTS, where Richard analyzed issues related to militant-Islamist groups in Eastern and Southern Africa, and a teaching role at APAX English, culminating as a Senior Teacher responsible for managerial decisions. Richard's academic background includes a Master's degree in International Relations and Security Studies, an Honours degree in International Relations, and a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Anthropology, all obtained from Rhodes University.
