Sandra Garner

Sandra Garner has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sandra is currently serving as the Head of Learning and Development at SA Taxi since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at RCL Foods from January 2015 to July 2022 as a Learning And Development Specialist, where they were responsible for implementing learning programs, sourcing training interventions, and coordinating staff attendance at learning events.

Before joining RCL Foods, Sandra worked at Foodcorp Baking Division from January 2002 to January 2015 as a Recruitment, Training & Equity Manager. In this role, they managed recruitment processes, coordinated training for multiple bakeries, conducted skills audits, and handled employment equity submissions and reporting.

In 2001, Sandra worked as a Training Consultant at Cando Consulting for a period of seven months, where they provided training expertise to clients. Prior to that, they started their career as a Course Administrator at the SA Chamber of Milling from June 1997 to April 2001, where they managed administrative tasks related to courses.

Overall, Sandra Garner has acquired extensive experience in learning and development, recruitment, training coordination, and administrative functions throughout their career.

Sandra Garner completed their secondary education at Union High School in Graaff-Reinet from 1981 to 1987, where they obtained their Matric. Later, from 2002 to 2005, they attended the University of Johannesburg and earned a degree in Education Training & Development Practitioner, specializing in Workforce Development and Training. Additionally, Sandra Garner obtained additional certifications such as "Leading with Emotional Intelligence" and "Cultivating a Growth Mindset" from LinkedIn in October 2019 and July 2019 respectively. Sandra also obtained a certification in Skills Development Facilitator from FoodBev SETA in November 2004.
