Jens Berglund

Jens Berglund has a diverse work experience, starting with their role at Saab where they served as the Head of Personnel Security and Support in the Group Security department. In this position, they were responsible for coordinating personnel security, including the implementation of security risk management solutions and overseeing insider prevention, security vetting, travel security, executive security, awareness and training, and first-line support. Jens managed three subordinated line managers and their teams of security specialists across five locations in Sweden.

Prior to their role at Saab, Jens worked at Försvarksmakten for several years. Jens held various commissioned officer positions which included tasks such as tactics development, training, teaching, investigations, research and development, and leadership. Jens also served as the Head of Dignitary Protection Unit, where they conducted executive/dignitary protection assignments in high-risk areas and collaborated with global governmental and non-governmental organizations such as the UN, NATO, and local police. Furthermore, they were a platoon commander in an international rapid reaction unit, overseeing the training, readiness, and deployment of peacekeeping and peace enforcement assignments in cooperation with global governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Jens Berglund attended the Swedish Marine Officers Academy from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained a degree in Navy/Marine, Naval Science and Operations. From 2003 to 2004, they pursued a Tactical Program at the Swedish Defence University. In 2014, they completed a Senior Management Course at the same institution. In 2015, Jens earned a degree as a Diplomered Riskmanager from the Stockholm School of Economics. Finally, in 2016 and 2017, they undertook an Executive Management Course in the Institute for National Defence and Security Policy Studies at the Swedish Defence University.
