Yusuf Leblebici received his BA in 1984 and his MA in 1986 from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 1990. Between 1991 and 2000, he worked as a faculty member at UIUC, Istanbul Technical University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where he founded and directed the VLSI Design Laboratory. He also undertook the task of developing the microelectronics diploma program as Microelectronics Program Coordinator at Sabancı University between 1999-2002. Yusuf Leblebici started working at Lausanne Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Switzerland in 2002, He served as Chair of the Chair and Director of Microelectronic Systems Laboratory for 16 years here. Since November 2018, he has started to work as the President of Sabancı University. His main research interests include the design of high-speed CMOS digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits, computer-aided design of VLSI systems, smart sensor interfaces, modeling and simulation of semiconductor elements, and reliability issues of VLSI circuits. prof. Leblebici is the co-author of 7 books, 2 of which are textbooks, and he has more than 250 scientific articles published in international journals and conferences. Yusuf Leblebici received the TUBITAK Encouragement Award in 1995 and the "Joseph S. Satin Distinguished Fellow" award in 1999', 2009'.
