Esteban Henao has held a variety of roles in the advertising and product industry since 2013. Esteban began as an Advertising Copywriter for McCann Erickson and Nix Digital before moving to Leo Burnett in 2014, where they became the youngest creative in the company's history to achieve the 8 Ball price twice. In 2016, they became an Advertising Copywriter for MullenLowe Group, where they were also part of the network's "pitch team" for local and global scale competitions. In 2017, they joined MyMiniFactory as Head of Product and Licensing and Head of Innovation, where they successfully opened new conversations around licensing deals with major companies. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Sr. Advertising Copywriter for SANCHO BBDO, working on William Grant & Sons and Bretaña, Hatsu & Postobón. In 2020, they became Executive Product, Ad & Creative Services Director for Sacbé Payments, where they advised and led the teams building a new fully-mobile settlement and financial alternative for Latinoamerican families. In 2022, they took on the role of Product & Experience Director for Numi Envios and Partner for Premium 3D, as well as Ad & Creative Services Advisor for Leapfactor.
Esteban Henao obtained a BA in Advertising and Media from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in 2014. In 2013, they completed a Licentiate degree in Strategic Planning and Creativity from UADE. Esteban also completed a Course in Modern Art and Vanguardism from the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in 2012. In 2017 and 2018, they attended workshops at iMakr London and iMakr NY, respectively, in 3D Printing and Innovation and Advanced 3D Printing. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Snapchat Advertising Essentials from Snap Inc. in 2021, Advanced Writing from UC Irvine in 2020, and Facebook Certified Creative Strategy Professional from Facebook in 2020.
