VP, Diversity, Inclusion & Social Impact at Sacramento Kings

Kindra Montgomery-Block has dedicated their career to improving the lives of African Americans in their community. Kindra is currently the VP of Diversity, Inclusion & Social Impact for the Sacramento Kings.

In their previous role as Associate Director at Sierra Health Foundation, they led the development of the organization's strategy to reduce preventable child deaths in vulnerable neighborhoods. Under their leadership, the foundation was able to reduce preventable deaths by 40% and health disparities by 73%.

In response to the death of Stephon Clark, Montgomery-Block helped to create the Build.Black.Coalition in alliance with the Sacramento Kings. The Build.Black.Coalition is working to create an endowment that will support black-owned businesses in the area.

Montgomery-Block has also been instrumental in the foundation's response to COVID-19. Kindra helped to create the Sacramento County COVID-19 Collaborative, which provides education and information for small businesses, contact tracing, and resource coordination.

Kindra Montgomery-Block has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Riverside and a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University. Kindra has certification from Harvard University in Community & Design: Business Communication and certification from Touro University in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.
