Caitlin Tormey is a Youth Services Librarian at Sacramento Public Library since July 2013, specializing in engaging storytimes for young children and advocating for early literacy through diverse programming and training. Tormey has established partnerships with local preschools and manages the children's collection at Central Library, while also providing reference and reader's advisory services. Prior professional experiences include serving as a Librarian's Assistant at Eckstein Middle School, a Junior Fellow at the Library of Congress, an Extended Day Supervisor at Seattle Country Day School, and a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard at Seattle Parks. Tormey holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and a B.A. in English and Education, both from the University of Washington.
