Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer (DBELO) at Sacramento Regional Transit District

Jessica Bennick Shevlin has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Jessica started their career as an Administrative Assistant II in the General Manager's Office at Sacramento Regional Transit in May 2004, where they worked until December 2005. Jessica then joined the Administrative Technician team in the Community Bus Division from January 2006 to February 2014. During this time, they also briefly served as Acting Procurement Analyst I from February 2014 to August 2014. Jessica then transitioned to the role of Senior Administrative Assistant from September 2014 to October 2016. From October 2016 to June 2018, they worked as a Procurement Analyst I, and then as a Procurement Analyst II from July 2018 to September 2019. Jessica was then promoted to Senior Procurement Analyst and served in this role from September 2019 to June 2020. Their most recent role at Sacramento Regional Transit is as the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer (DBELO), which they started in June 2020.

In addition to their work at Sacramento Regional Transit, Jessica also worked as an SEO Copywriter and Editor for Social Stitcher from May 2011 to December 2013. In this role, they rewrote and revised web content to incorporate SEO keywords and key phrases, while maintaining engaging and informative copy.

Prior to their time at Social Stitcher, Jessica worked as an Administrative Assistant II (Temp) for the Sacramento Regional Transit Transportation Division at Select Personnel Services from December 2003 to April 2004.

Before entering the public transportation industry, Jessica started their career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Management Assistant from July 2002 to September 2003. In this role, they executed rental agreements and provided excellent customer service, as well as planned and executed marketing events.

Jessica Bennick Shevlin received their High School Diploma in General Education/College Prep from St. Francis Catholic High School in Sacramento in 1998. Jessica went on to attend California State University-Sacramento from 1998 to 1999, where they pursued a general education program without obtaining a degree. In 1999, they enrolled in Saint Mary's College of California and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2002.
