Richard Bunbury, PhD, possesses extensive experience in music education, organ performance, and church music leadership. Currently serving as an organist for Sacred Heart Church and Holy Name Catholic Church since 2018 and 2014 respectively, Richard also provides music instruction at Xaverian Brothers High School. Prior roles include lecturing in music education and musicology at Boston University and serving as interim chair of the Musicology and Ethnomusicology department. Richard has held various organist and music director positions in several churches over the years, and contributed to community choral efforts such as the Choral Art Society. Richard holds a PhD in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and advanced degrees in Pastoral Ministry, Liturgy, Musicology, and Music Education from Boston College, New England Conservatory of Music, and Armstrong State University. Additionally, Richard is managing chronic Lyme Disease since retirement in 2015.
