Shawn Peng

Shawn Peng is an experienced professional with a robust background in energy storage solutions and battery technology. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the DC and LSEV Committee at Battery Council International and holding the position of Sr. R&D Director of Energy Storage Solutions at both C&D Technologies and Trojan Battery Company, Shawn has extensive involvement in the industry since 2011 with the International Electrotechnical Commission. Contributions include key roles in various technical committees and organizations such as CEN, CENELEC, and SAE. Previous leadership experience comprises Chairman of North American Operations at Leoch Battery Corporation and Vice President of Technology at Leoch International Technology Ltd, where responsibilities included product development and marketing across multiple battery lines. Shawn's academic credentials include a Master's in Physics and a Ph.D. candidacy in Astrophysics from Louisiana State University, as well as a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Nankai University.
