Mar Gomez Puente

Mar Gomez Puente has extensive experience in financial management and accounting. Mar served as the Financial Controller at Saeta Yield since 2020 and was responsible for managing financial obligations and overseeing accounting activities. Prior to that, they worked at NextEra Energy Resources as the Financial Controller for Spain from 2012 to 2020. In this role, they handled project analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and served as the main contact with syndicated bank and lenders. Mar also acted as an Auditor at Rödl & Partner for a brief period in 2012.

Before joining Saeta Yield, Mar held various positions at NBCUniversal. From 1999 to 2011, they served as the Finance Director and was responsible for accounting, budgeting, reporting, and negotiation support. Mar also acted as the Interim Managing Director for a six-month period in 2010, during which they closed deals and restructured the company. Mar's earlier experience includes working as the Finance Director at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, where they were involved in launching Playstation in Spain. Mar began their career at Price Waterhouse Coopers- PwC as a Supervisor from 1989 to 1995. Throughout their career, Mar has gained comprehensive knowledge in Spanish and US GAAP, as well as experience in acquisitions due diligence and compliance.

Mar Gomez Puente obtained an Auditor degree in ROAC from Instituto Censores Jurados de Cuentas in Spain in 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economy with a specialization in Audit from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1992. In terms of additional certifications, Mar received a Six Sigma Green Belt certificate from Nextera Energy University in 2019 and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate from the same institution in 2016.
