Brian Cavanaugh has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Brian started their career as a Test Technician at ACT Laboratories in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Brian then joined Dana Corporation as a Product Engineer Co-Op from 2003 to 2004. Brian then worked at Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake as a Senior Test Engineer from 2005 to 2010, where they managed projects, supervised lab resources, and was a key member of the friction material strategy team. Brian also attended a leadership development program in Munich, Germany and achieved an in-role promotion.

In 2010, Brian joined Gentex Corporation as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where they managed metal component supplier quality and supported the production release of high volume stampings for passenger car auto-dimming mirror and camera systems.

Since 2011, Brian has been with SAF-HOLLAND Inc., holding various Engineering Director roles. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Engineering Director for Auxiliary Suspension & Axle, Powered Suspension & Axle, and Suspension, Axle & Wheel-End. In these roles, Brian reorganized team structures, managed budgets, and directed activities related to new product development and application support.

Currently, Brian holds the position of Vice President of Engineering (Americas) at SAF-HOLLAND Inc. starting from 2023. Brian'sresponsibilities include overseeing engineering activities, managing budgets, and leading a team of direct reports.

Brian Cavanaugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. Brian further pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the same institution from 2006 to 2008. Later, they attended Purdue University Daniels School of Business, where they completed their Executive MBA from 2022 to 2024. In addition to their formal education, Brian also obtained certifications such as Power BI Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2021, a Professional Engineer - Machine Design certification from the State of Michigan in 2010, and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems in 2008.
