Jonah Kemei

Jonah Kemei is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in information risk management and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Information Risk Officer at Safaricom PLC since December 2021, Jonah has been instrumental in aligning security policies with governance standards, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and enhancing operational resilience through risk management. Previously, as a Project Manager, Jonah managed network and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. Jonah also held the position of Technology Project Manager at Telkom Kenya, overseeing a program of IT and Digital Financial Services projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Technology Advisory Associate at KPMG East Africa, where key achievements involved performing comprehensive IT audits. Jonah's career began as a Radio Planning Engineer at Safaricom Limited. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Suffolk and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and Information Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
