Maia Nangle

Maia Nangle is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in project coordination and research within environmental and community development sectors. Currently serving as the Campaigns Coordinator at SAFCEI, Maia previously held several positions at Masifundise Development Trust from 2019 to 2023, including Senior Project Coordinator, where responsibilities involved managing projects along the Western Cape and Northern Cape coasts. Early roles at Masifundise included Project Officer and Research and Information Officer, focusing on fisheries and food sovereignty. Maia began their career as a Research Assistant at the Biopharming Research Unit at the University of Cape Town. Academic credentials include an Honours degree in Environmental and Geographical Science and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Marine Biology, both from the University of Cape Town.
