Antonio Tendero

Fellow In Residence at Safe Haven Ministries

Antonio Tendero is a dedicated education and community leader with extensive experience in creating programs that address gender-based violence and enhance educational outcomes. Currently serving as a Fellow in Residence at Safe Haven Ministries, Antonio is focused on launching a Center for Learning aimed at domestic violence prevention. Previous roles include Director at Prayer Spaces in Schools USA, Program Director at Journey Academy, and Middle School Director at The Potter's House School, where significant achievements in student proficiency and accreditation scores were realized. Antonio has a strong background in curriculum development and instructional leadership from KIPP Delta Public Schools and other educational institutions, along with a commitment to community engagement evidenced by leadership roles in various outreach and ministry organizations. Antonio holds a Doctor of Education from Teachers College-Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in English and Economics from the University of Michigan.
