Dhanraj B is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research, strategy, and advocacy within various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Manager - Research and Advocacy at Safe in India Foundation since February 2023, Dhanraj B has contributed significantly to occupational health and safety policies in the automobile sector through the publication of SafetyNiti 2024. Previous roles include Consultant positions at NavGurukul and Skill-Lync, where Dhanraj B focused on system design and go-to-market strategies, respectively. Prior experience as Senior Programme Manager at Access Livelihoods Consulting India and Sustainability Consultant at Unilever involved impactful projects in program management and community initiatives, particularly in water and sanitation. Dhanraj B began the career as a Management Trainee in Marketing at Bharti AXA Life Insurance and has a strong educational background with a PGPM from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from NMAM Institute of Technology.

20 workers lose their hands or fingers every day”, just in Gurgaon’s manufacturing sector, impacting their health and livelihood permanently. Several thousand workers suffer the same fate nationally every year, especially in smaller factories, which is both a humanitarian and economic loss to the country. We at Safe in India mainly assist injured/disabled workers with their ESIC healthcare/compensation to live their lives with dignity. We work at improving workplace safety (and thereby productivity) in manufacturing, with focus on the auto-sector supply chain, to reduce accidents, support achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and help in improving ESIC’s services nationally.
