Dr Joan Nyanyuki

Dr. Joan Nyanyuki is an accomplished leader in the field of human rights and child advocacy, currently serving as the Executive Director of the African Child Policy Forum since February 2020, where efforts focus on promoting child rights and strengthening policies across Africa. Dr. Nyanyuki also holds several influential positions including Co-chair of the Executive Committee of the End Violence Partnership, Board Trustee at Frontline AIDS, and previously served as Regional Director for Amnesty International overseeing human rights initiatives in East Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Great Lakes region. With a Master's degree in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and a medical degree from Moi University, Dr. Nyanyuki has notably contributed to various organizations, including COVAW, the Independent Medico-Legal Unit, and Physicians for Human Rights, showcasing extensive expertise in advocacy, program management, and human rights research.
