Kevin Wiebe

Kevin Wiebe has extensive experience in the software industry, currently serving as Technical Director and Chief Scientist at Safe Software since September 1996, where leadership involves guiding a team in datastructures, algorithms, and core architecture. Prior to this, Kevin worked as a Software Engineer in the Information Research Department at Sony in Tokyo, Japan, from May 1990 to May 1991, developing a HyperMedia and Multimedia system. Additionally, experience includes a role as a Software Developer at IBM Canada Ltd. in late 1989, where contributions involved adding “Double Byte Character Set” compatibility to existing applications. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Simon Fraser University.
