Sharon Gilmartin is an experienced leader in injury and violence prevention, currently serving as the Executive Director of Safe States Alliance since November 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing initiatives, securing funding, and advocating for the interests of injury prevention professionals. Prior to this role, Sharon held various positions, including Deputy Director and Director of Membership Engagement & Communications at AAA National, and an ASPH/NHTSA Fellowship at the US Department of Transportation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
