Hamid Mirzaei

Hamid Mirzaei is an AI Research Scientist at SafeAI, Inc. since February 2019, focusing on the development of reinforcement learning-based algorithms for autonomous construction and mining heavy equipment. Prior to this role, Hamid served as a Research Assistant at UC Irvine from September 2013 to November 2018, engaging in deep reinforcement learning, high-level synthesis of cyber-physical systems, and dynamic tolling applications in intelligent traffic systems. Additionally, a Software Developer Intern at Levyx, Inc. in 2015, Hamid developed automation scripts for Hadoop and Spark deployment on the Google Cloud platform and created benchmarks in Scala. Hamid holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
