Michel Smid

Michel Smid has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Michel most recently held the position of Regional Director at MTCI Private Provider, starting in July 2018. Prior to this, they were also a Regional Director at SAFEbuilt, a leading third-party provider of building department services. In 2017, Michel served as the Director of Sales and Marketing - US Market at Bureau Veritas, and in 2016, they held the same position for the Latin America Market. Michel also has experience as a Commercial Director at Construtora Andrade Gutierrez, a Marketing Assessor at Gerdau S.A., and a Business Analyst at Vale. Michel started their career as a Civil Engineer at Odebrecht, where they worked on various construction projects.

Michel Smid has a solid educational background in both engineering and business administration. Michel pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Civil Engineering from Sao Paulo State University, which they completed between 1997 and 2002. Following that, they decided to further their education and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, completing it between 2003 and 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Michel Smid has also obtained a certification in Leadership from ULI Southeast Florida/Caribbean in August 2021.
